Skyrocketing Drug Prices: Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour Shares Thoughts

 The Labour Party's gubernatorial candidate in the February 2023 Lagos State Governorship election, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has made a post on his official social media page, revealing how the rising inflation has affected prices of drugs. It will be recalled that earlier in August, GSK, a major drug manufacturing company, made the decision to move their business away from Nigeria after fifty-one years in operation  as a result of high running costs. The Group had hinted that government policies on foreign exchange unification keep creating currency problems for the manufacturing sector, with dollar scarcity taking its toll on production.

In his post, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour made a list of some drugs and their uses will depicting that these drugs had more than tripled their prices between January and November 2023. The politician stated that stealing government funds in hard times such as this is "callous, greedy and wicked". He also urged Nigerians to redefine their relationship with those they entrust with commonwealth.
