Ozioma Okposo, widow of the late gospel singer and songwriter Sammie Okposo, has penned an emotional message on her official social media handle to mark the first anniversary of her husband's death. In her post, the widow stated that she was celebrating the gift the singer had been to her and vowed to cherish the memories they created together. Ozioma Okposo also assured her deceased husband that she was doing better emotionally and relatives had been standing by her. Sammie and Ozioma Okposo were married for twelve years before his untimely demise at the age of fifty-one.

Sammie Okposo's shocking death occurred on the morning of Friday 25th November 2023. In his lifetime, he was a gospel singer, music producer, psalmist and CEO of Zamar Entertainment. Following his shocking death and the controversies surrounding it, Sammie Okposo was buried in December 2022.
