Mercy Johnson Receives Dragging for Querying Cost of Eggs

 Following a video made by Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson-Okojie, where she wondered at the rising costs of eggs, netizens have taken to social media to troll the actress for daring to complain about the rising cost of commodities after support The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the February 2023 elections. It will be recalled that Mercy Johnson-Okojie had rallied support for her husband Prince Odianonsen Okojie who contested and won a senatorial seat in Edo under the All Progressives Congress. She had also showed solidarity for the party by attending events in company of now first lady Remi Tinubu as well as other APC stakeholders.

Responding to Mercy Johnson-Okojie's wonder at the rising cost of eggs, netizens accused her of stupidity and ridiculed her decision to support the ruling party regardless of their previous track record. They further urged her to direct the question to the politician (her husband) she lives with while accusing her of gross stupidity because she failed to realise how rising dollar exchange rates affect the cost of locally laid eggs.
