Lawmaker Reveals Plan to Marry Off 100 Orphans

A member of the House of Representatives, representing Argungu/Augie Federal Constituency of Kebbi State at the National Assembly,  identified as Sani Yakubu Noma has revealed that he has concluded arrangements to marry off 100 female orphans in the state.  Speaking to the press at his hometown in the Argungu area of Kebbi State, Yakubu Norma explained that the marriage plan was part of his contributions to the welfare of orphans in his constituency.

Revealing that the marriage ceremony will take place at the Palace of the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammad Mera on Saturday, Nov. 25, the lawmaker stated that the intending brides were chosen from the two local government areas he represents at the national assembly.  Mr Yakubu Noma also affirmed that he had obtained mattresses, furniture and other essential commodities to help the beneficiaries in their upcoming marital journey. Senator Norma's "contribution" comes less than two months after the Kano State Government organised a mass wedding ceremony for 1700 couples in Kano.
