LASG Warns Lagosians Against Roadside Parties

The Lagos State Taskforce has warned Lagosians to desist from organising parties that involve street closure. In a post on its official social media page, the government emphasized that the act of closing streets for parties and social events will no longer be tolerated as it is a habit that is inconvenient to other road users and further constitutes a nuisance to the society.

Describing the streets closure as "selfish" and "inconsiderate", Chairman of the Lagos State Taskforce, CSP Shola Jejeloye, listed areas like Agege, Oworonshoki as well as some parts of Lagos Island as major culprits in disrupting road activities via streets closure for social events.  The Taskforce Chairman assured that anyone who fails to heed the warning and is caught illegally disrupting road activities via streets closure, will be arrested and charged to the Mobile Court for  prosecution.
