"We're Grateful to All Nigerians" Mr Ibu's Family Reveals

 Following the public plea for help from well-meaning Nigerians via a viral video released by Nollywood actor John Okafor aka Mr Ibu, and the subsequent donations from individuals and The Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation(owned by the former senate president), the actor's family has put up a post expressing gratitude to all Nigerians for their help. Updating the public on the current state of the veteran actor's health, the post explained that he had undergone 5 successful surgeries and was recovering in the Intensive Care Unit. The family further informed the public that as soon as Mr Ibu is stabilized enough, the intention is to fly him out of the country for further advanced treatment.

John Okafor AKA Mr Ibu, hails from Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu state. His acting roles include over 200 Nollywood films. Mr Ibu is considered one of Nigeria's most talented and highest paid comic characters. John Okafor earned the moniker Mr Ibu after the titular character of a blockbuster film he acted in 2004. However, John Okafor claims to have inherited the name Mr Ibu from his grandfather.
