Nigerian gospel singer and minister Mercy Chinwo, has welcomed her first child with her husband, pastor Blessed Uzochikwa. The singer shared shared a short music clip showing her pregnancy bump and singing in appreciaton to God, she however did not disclose the gender or name of her newborn. Mercy Chinwo and her husband tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremony in August 2022.
Mercy Chinwo won the Nigerian Idol season 2 in the year 2012 and released her first single "Testimony" in 2015. Her husband Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa is the resident pastor at WaterBrook church, Lagos. Singer and politician Bankole Wellington AKA Banky W, is also a preacher at the church.
