Medical Doctor, Femi Olaleye Sentenced To Life Imprisonment For Defiling Wife's Niece

 The Medical Director of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation, Doctor Olufemi Olaleye, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the defilement of his wife’s niece by the Lagos State Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence, Ikeja.

Justice Rahman Oshodi in his ruling found the Doctor guilty of the offence of defilement and sexual penetration of a 15-year-old girl.

Justice Oshodi held that the prosecution was able to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt and that all the evidence before the court aligned with that of the victim.

The Lagos State Government had institutes a two count charge borderung on defilement and sexual assault by penetration of his wife’s niece against Olaleye and was arraigned on November 30, 2022.

He however pleaded not guilty to the offences.

The Director of Public Prosecutions Dr Babajide Martins told the court that Olaleye had committed the offences between February 2020 and November 2021, noting that the offence took place at No 17, Layi Ogunbambi close, Maryland, Lagos state.

The convict was accused of unlawfully having sexual intercourse with his wife’s 15-year-old niece, and also accused of sexually assaulting the teenager by penetrating her mouth with his penis.

The offences committed contravened Sections 137 and 261, of the criminal law of Lagos State 2015, the prosecution argued.

Justice Oshodi then granted Olaleye bail in the sum of N50m with two sureties in like sum who must have landed property in Lagos state.
