BREAKING: Governor of Kogi State Escapes Assassination Attempt

Executive Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, had reportedly escaped an assassination attempt. According to the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the governor had been on his way to an official event in Abuja from Lokoja, when the assailants ambushed his convoy.  He also stated that the assassination attempt took place at about 4:00pm at three different points, on Sunday 22nd October, 2023.

 In the commissioner's words: "The attackers who were dressed in military uniforms waylaid the governor’s convoy and started shooting sporadically at his vehicle and other vehicles in the convoy. It took the swift intervention of the security personnel attached to the governor to foil the satanic plans of the unknown soldiers.” Kingsley Femi Fanwo urged citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious movements in the domain to relevant security agencies.
