Kenyan authorities have arrested a 26 year old male identified as Brian Mwenda, who posed as lawyer and Advocate of The High Court of Kenya. The pseudo lawyer before his exposure, managed to win 26 cases in court, despite his lack of a professional law degree. Brian Mwenda was ousted by the Law Society of Kenya after the society discovered that he had been impersonating a real lawyer with a similar name. The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) revealed that the now arrested impersonator was not an advocate and did not have a license to practice law in the country. The Law Society of Kenya also disclosed that the fake lawyer was being held at the Rapid Action Team (RAT) headquarters pending further investigation.

Some well-meaning Kenyan citizens have taken to social media to express their surprise at the impersonator's devious ingenuity. They have also expressed their intention to facilitate his bail as well as sponsor his education so he can become a truly certified lawyer, as it was obvious the fake lawyer had real flair for the legal profession.
