Certificate Forgery:Tinubu Issues Warning to Arise TV

 Following the exposé done by Arise TV on the issue of  president Bola Ahmed Tinubu's alleged certificate forgery from the Chicago State University, the federal government has through the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) issued a warning to the station over its use of derogatory and incendiary remarks during its popular breakfast show titled "The Morning Programme" anchored by Reuben Abati, Rufai Oseni and others . The letter with the heading "Preponderance of derogatory and incendiary remarks: final warning” which was addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Arise Global Media Limited, also urged the TV station to keep to its responsibility of keeping its guest in check.

In the final warning letter issued on 6th October 2023, The National Broadcasting Commission admonished Arise TV to " install a delay mechanism to guard against undesirable contents as prescribe in section 5.5.6 of the broadcasting code.”
