53 Year Old Kenny Ogungbe Signs Out of Compulsory National Service

 In what many Nigerians have termed a hilarious turn of events, 53 year old Nigerian music producer and CEO of Kennis Music, Kehinde(Kenny) Ogungbe has shared photos from the passing ceremony after his mandatory one year national service. The record label boss shared photos himself wearing the government-issued NYSC and holding his discharge certificate with the caption "To God be The Glory". He however failed to mention why he chose to participate in the national service scheme at the age of 53.

Kehinde Ogungbe who is a DJ, music producer, television presenter and music executive, is the founder and eponym of the record label, Kennis Music. He is also Co-CEO alongside Dayo "D1" Adeneye. Their record label is considered one of the oldest and pioneering labels in Nigeria's music industry.  In the 2000s,  the duo discovered and signed up young musicians who went on to become famous. Some of the famous musicians previously signed to The Kennis Music label include: 2 Face Idibia, The deceased Goldie Harvey and Sound Sultan, Baba Dee, Tony Tetuila, amongst others. Kenny Ogungbe and Dayo Adeneye also own the radio station Kennis 104.1 F.M, Lagos.
