Zoologist Pleads Guilty to Raping 40 Puppies

 A 51 year old British Male zoologist resident in Australia identified as Adam Britton, has pled guilty to 60 charges of sexually abusing and torturing animals at his animal shelter. The zoologist admitted to luring pet owners into placing their beloved dogs in his custody before abusing or even killing them. At the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory, Adam Britton who is a crocodile specialist, also admitted to sexually abusing his own Swiss Shepherd pets, Ursa and Bolt, for almost a decade.

Videos depicting animal cruelty were found in Adam Britton's possession during a joint NT Police and Australian Federal Police raid which resulted in his arrest on a rural Darwin property last year. Police also discovered 15 child abuse material and files on his laptop. Crown prosecutor Marty Aust detailed numerous instances of torture and sexual exploitation of animals between November 2020 and April 2022. The court heard Britton had a "sadistic sexual interest" in animals, and in particular dogs, dating back to at least 2014, and that his "deliberate and planned" conduct resulted in the intentional killing of at least 39 animals. Britton has been remanded in custody and his case adjourned for sentencing in December.
