Still on the unexpected and shocking death of 27 year old rising music star Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba professionally known as Mohbad and the current controversies surrounding his demise, Splash 10.5FM has ordered its staff to desist from playing Naira Marley's(owner of the record label Mohbad had been a part of until his highly publicized departure) songs on air. The radio station located in Ibadan, Oyo state, in a company memo, cited the ongoing police inquiry into Mohbad’s death as the reason behind its decision to boycott Naira Marley's songs.

The memo also urged staff of the radio station to exercise discretion due to the sensitive nature of Mohbad’s death and the ongoing investigation by the Police to ascertain the cause of the young musician's death. The memo stated that Naira Marley’s songs are now classified as “Not to be Broadcast” by the station until further notice, effective immediately.
