Ooni of Ife Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi has entered has gone into a seven day self-imposed seclusion in order to communicate with his ancestors. The monarch embarked on his seven day self-imposed seclusion in preparation for the Olojo Festival, a traditional event during which he remains incommunicado to the public. The Olojo Festival which is an annual event, is set to commence on Saturday 30th September 2023.

Speaking to the press before he commenced his seclusion, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi revealed that an important reason for his seclusion was to pray for the unity of Africa and for divine intervention for the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in order to turn things right because the expectations of the people are so high. The monarch assured that in the eight years since he ascended the throne, none of his prayers and supplications to his spiritual father has gone unanswered. He also urged Nigerians to on their part, pray fervently for the growth of the country.
