Senator representing Aniocha/Oshimili Delta State Federal Constituency Prince Ned Nwoko has stated that he hopes to introduce a bill that will make it mandatory for an autopsy to be conducted before anyone is buried in Nigeria. The lawmaker put up this post on his official social media platform hours after the Nigeria Police and the Lagos State Government confirmed its intention to exhume the corpse of recently deceased fast rising music star Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba professionally known as Mohbad, following numerous controversies surrounding his death. The 27 year old singer died under yet unclear circumstances on 12th September 2023 and was buried barely a day afterwards.

Prince Ned Nwoko in his post stating his intention to introduce the bill on mandatory autopsy, clarified that the cost of such a bill if adopted, must be handled by the government at their respective tiers. He further explained that the cause of anyone's death should not be left to the wild imaginations of people , while emphasizing that the innocent should be protected and the guilty, punished.
