Former APC National Chairman and former governor of Edo state, Adams Oshiomole has spoken against president Muhammadu Buhari's decision on the naira redesign and legal tender policy. The former governor voiced his displeasure while speaking at Jattu market located in Auchi, Edo state. Oshiomole advised the traders to keep their old naira notes as president Buhari and president of the Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele "will expire" after Saturday's election.

The former APC National Chairman further declared that the party had hitherto cautioned president Buhari on how unnecessary it was to change currency during an election. Oshiomole affirmed that Buhari would have to eventually obey the Supreme Court as the judgement of the Supreme Court is superior to a presidential pronouncement. Oshiomole again urged the traders to keep their money and assured them that they'd be able to spend the old naira notes after the elections.
