The office of the Deputy Governor of Sokoto State, Hon. Manor Dan'iya has denied reports making the rounds that he has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
A letter had in the early hours of today showed the Deputy Governor, Hon. Manor Dan'iya writing to the Kware ward chairman in Kware Local Government Area of Sokoto State indicating his decision to leave4 the party.
The Director of Press to the Sokoto State Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdullahi Abubakar in a statement on behalf of the Deputy Governor, said the number 2 citizen in the state remains a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The statement reads:
"Our attention has been drawn to a letter purportedly issued in Sokoto that the Sokoto State Deputy Governor, Hon. Manir Dan'iya stating had resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
"This is untrue and a blatant lie. Hon. Manor Dan'iya is still a bonafose member of the PDP, to which he reaffirm his unwavering loyalty and support.
"He is hereby dissociating himself from any such letter stating he had left the PDP.
