What Pastor Adeboye Told Tinubu Over His Plea To Support His Muslim-muslim Ticket

Reactions trailed Bola Ahmed Tinubu's choice of a Muslim running mate for the 2023 presidential election.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu chose former governor of Borno state, Kashim Shettima as his running mate for the 2023 presidential election.

However, the Nigerian Christians did not hesitate in condemning the development as Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) described it as insensitivity to Nigeria's religious differences and the current latent division that exist between the two dominant religion in Nigeria.

Consequently, in his bid to mend fences, Bola Ahmed Tinubu led delegates to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), pastor Enoch Adeboye, to appeal to him and the Christian body to see his presidential ambition as a sought for good governance other than one inspired by religious agenda.

A source privy to the meeting between Bola Tinubu and pastor Enoch Adeboye revealed to THISDAY that the meeting took place on Sunday 17th of July, 2023, at Redemption camp, Lagos.

“He met Adeboye on Sunday. The meeting was very fruitful. He (Adeboye) is not against Muslim-Muslim ticket,” the source said
