Quack Nurse Butchers Pregnant Woman In Delta State

 Human Rights Activist and member of the Delta State Judicial Panel of Inquiry on Police Brutality, Kelvin Ejumudo has put up a Facebook post warning Nigerians to beware of quack nurses. He narrated that a certain Mrs Ebi Igho, a resident of New Era street, Jakpa Road Effurun located in Uvwie LG council of Delta state was arrested on Tuesday 12, July 2022 for butchering a pregnant woman identified as Mrs Vivian.

Mr Ejumudo further narrated that after the multiple cuts inflicted on the patient which led to excessive bleeding, the patient was rushed to Central Hospital Warri, where an emergency hysterectomy was performed to save her life.  Upon interrogation, it was discovered that the alleged culprit, Mrs Ebi Igho, was not a registered nurse and had in fact, never received any form of professional medical training from any higher institution. She operated in isolation as a quack with the aid of a torchlight thereby endangering the lives of many expectant mothers.

Mr Kevin Ejumudo strongly advised pregnant women to desist from patronising quacks for their own safety and that of their unborn children. He also urged the Delta state government and the state's Commissioner of Health to rise up and ensure such unprofessional outlets within the state were destroyed and culprits arrested.
