Professor Yemi Osibanjo has reportedly spoken on Bola Ahmed Tinubu choosing a Muslim running mate for the 2023 presidential election.
According to the account by former senate president, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Bola Tinubu would've emerged president Muhammadu Buhari's running mate in 2015 due to opposition against the proposed Muslim-Muslim ticket Osibanjo was then selected to be president Muhammadu Buhari's running mate.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu being a Muslim has picked former governor of Borno state, senator Kashim Shettima as his running; an act which has attracted intense criticism from Nigerians and triggered once more the unresolved fear of alleged "Islamization of Nigeria".
Today, professor Yemi Osibanjo has reportedly noted that he is not in support of Tinubu's choice and that he disagrees with him on his choice of a Muslim running mate at the expense of a Christian to reflect the religious difference and sentiment of Nigeria.
"I am not in support and I disagree with TINUBU over his decision on Muslim-Muslim Ticket."
