A new bride has set her husband ablaze in Osogbo, Osun state over his alleged infidelity. The groom identified as a Cairo-based businessman named Teebam on a visit to Nigeria, was set ablaze by his new bride, Ife, shortly after she posted a warning saying "Teebam had pushed her to the edge" on her WhatsApp status. She further promised that everyone would weep over the two of them before daybreak.

The groom was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately died as a result of severe burns. The bride was later discovered dead from an apparent suicide. The entire social media is shocked at this news and wonder at the senseless waste of two young lives. Many people have also advised that people should not be taken at face value and have also condemned friends and relatives of the bride who saw such an update from the bride, yet did nothing. May the souls of the departed couple find rest.
